overheating

hi im new here joined today
got major problems with overheating changed stat and temp sensor
checked for airlocks and usual stuff but today now gettin no heat in the car
have checked to see in head gasket gone but ok no white gunk of strange smell
from water bottle (is new changed yesterday)
any idea would be great!
is it the water pump

Pump gets my vote, does the gauge go past 110?

only when driven put as soon as ideling goes straight back to 90

Yeah same as i had water pump i'm afraid, do the belt and tensioners if they need doing too.

its comin round for 125000 so they are due , so will do them all then
i rekon i will have to just bite the bullet and just do it aint that hard a job
just a pain

Sounds like your competent enough to do them yourself, so that's the labour saved.

i know i am really glad about that
but had to get thetemp sensor from vw (rip off) £35
halfords dont do will have to price it up tommorrow thanks for the help mate

No problem look at seremotors on here in the dealer section, will save you a fortune, i think the timing belt kit and pump is around the £100 mark
