my engine management light and epc light have been intermittently coming on for a while now with some rough idling. Finally invested in a code reader and discovered it was a P0106 for the map sensor, so i replaced it and everything was fine for about two weeks. Then the trouble started again, this time it was much worse including a misfire on cylinder 3, a total loss of power one day when driving to work and P0121 and P2101 codes. I discovered the break vacuum pipe was split at both ends, I've ordered the part but in the mean time I've tried to block the leak with some sealant. I've also changed all the spark plugs and replaced the coil on cylinder 3. Is it possible that a vacuum leak would cause a P0106 code? Or is there more going on here?
