Pabs Platinum Grey mk4 Ibiza Cupra - Stage1 OEM++

Back from the dead
Looks mint. I don't drive my car much and I'm not far off your mileage.

What did the previous buyer buy it for, to look at it?!! Certainly doesn't seem he drove it much (just over 6k a year).

Its one of those cars that looks good enough on its own without much tinkering. I think the back end is one of the best looking of any small car.

Plat grey is always the best colour ;)

Warren - previous owner had it a year, and did about 8-9k in it I think. Seems that the car only did 8k in the first 3 years of its life with it's first owner! (looking at service history anyway)

yep donkeys infact, nice to be back! got a massive shopping list myself, the A3 i just got is only a 1.8 20V turbo sport model, 3dr silver, just aquired some 18' rs6's like i had on the leon, s3 rear lights. just waiting for s3 front and rear bumpers and skirts,

PAB's were did you getthe c2 ariel from, wouldnt mind giving it ago. anyone seen my old leon kicking about, dont think id be able to bear to see it, as the situation i lost it in, other half and i split up at the time, she traded it in behind my back lost everything from it, will kill me to see it again, it ended up with full R trim too.

You should know how to clean your car by now, Rich. :p

Tonight, I've managed to clear my VAG-COM error code, which has made me feel much better. The error code was caused by an ECU cable that runs to the negative terminal on the battery - it's a very small gauge wire that I found broken in the engine bay. After rerouting the cable to ensure a little more slack is present, I've reclamped this to the terminal and run another scan, and this time managed to clear the error code.

I've also spent a bit of money on car upgrades today - I'll post each one up when it all arrives!

Well this weekend didn't see much happening to my car at all really.

However, I have picked up a secondhand electric garage opener, which, because I've managed to get electric run to my garage (garage is in a block not attached to house) I figured it'd be a nice addition to save me having to a*se about with keys!

I've got a busy week ahead of me, and potentially many deliveries of goodies for the car, so stay tuned!

Great to see you back in the fold, the MK4 Ibiza guys should be very greatful to have you in there fold. We were very lucky/happy to have you in our fold with all the Pioneering work you did, said it before and will say it again, too many sheep and not enough pioneers on SCN.
But as you said perhaps most things have been done on the MK4 already

Well today I took delivery of the following (excluding the green panel filter which I already had):

Philips Main, Dipped, and sidelights - should be a vast improvement over the standard (yellow looking) bulbs

My spare N75F valve from my old Leon - this I removed as faulty, but I don't think the new one worked any different - so perhaps it still works!

This will be installed once I've got my surging issues sorted:

This has already been taken apart, and the transponder from my 2nd key is now inside. Key will be cut tomorrow, and then programmed!

I ran out of claybar, so purchased this at a very fair price, should keep me going until I can afford some better stuff.

On top of all that, I've started the installation of my electric garage door opener tonight. I've got the bracket installed above the door, and I've constucted the whole pulley mechanism. Next steps will involve fitting the arm to the back of the door, and securing the pulley onto the underside of the roof.

Still a few more deliveries to come this week, but nothing really exciting!

Well I have been using up a lot of my old products from my Leon - still got loads left.

Wax, up until very recently, I was using OCW spray. I loved it, but bottle is at the end, and I haven't found a new supplier yet. People seem to recommend other new products now anyway, so thought I might take a look. Current wax being used is Meguiars Gold Class stuff which came in a kit I was given. Add to that I've got the claybar above, and Klass AIO polish still to use up.
