Passat PD TDi cambelt change -- 60K?

Is the cambelt on the Passat PDs (longitudinal mounted engine) every 60k miles / 5 years?

Also, does anyone know if the waterpump gets changed at the same time?

Yes mate both correct, should be the same with all PD130's. I also understand there is a metal-impellered water pump which will easily outlast the rubbish plastic one.

Watch out with non-specialists however, make sure they are changing the water pump as im sure some dealers will 'forget' and try to get you to pay another 4hrs labout a year down the line.

also the dealer will fit the factory plastic impelar version as vw dont do a metal one
