Today my Passenger Front door lock was playing up, I try to unlock all doors and the front passenger door doesnt sometimes unlock and will only open on inside. Did it a couple tries and it started working again after a VAGCOM scan.

Is something on its way out and requiring repair? Here is my VAGCOM scan and its showing as intermittent so sounds like it could either be weather/slamming related.

Any ideas?

I'm having the exact same issue on my '57 Leon FR. I can open the door fine from the internal handle but it frequently doesn't not unlock via the keyfob or the internal unlock button. Seems to be more frequent on warm days.

Did you solve your problem?

I'm having the same issue, it seems to constantly try to lock the front passenger door whenever I go over the auto door lock speed (i.e. if I drop below that speed and then go back over).

Any thoughts?

I had to replace the door locking module in the end, haven't had an issue since! Have you vagcom'd it?

No not yet, that's the next step. Did you replace the module yourself? How much did it cost if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks,

Joe

Me and a friend (mainly the friend if I'm honest, lol) replaced it in a morning. Cost me £45 used. Was quoted £145 new. Would definitely recommend getting a vagcom on it and make sure that the errors are the same.

hi mate are you talking about the actual central locking motor attached to the door handle or module as part of the window motor?

Hey mate,

It was the actual motor which connects to the door handle.

Cheers,

Faults came up again and problem is back, think its defo due to the weather and after clearing the code it ccame back, but it worked about 3 times and then stays locked. Can only open from the inner door handle.

Whats the cost of this fix guys?

I'm having pretty muvh the same problem with mine but now with the added bonus of the alarm randomly going off! Starting to go a little mad.

Does anyone know where I can buy a replacement front passenger module from? I can find them for mk1 leons but not mk2's?
