Hello,

Could you please tell me what I would need to do to turn my Pd100 sport into the PD160 cupra, i.e. power wise not looks.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

hmmm if you had said pd130 it may be bit easier

but would need at least

FMIC and all pipes
pd160 intake and panel filter
decat downpipe turbo back exhaust
new clutch..uprated
hyprid turbo...

then handling mods to keep it on road

rear spacers
rear and front ARB
bigger brakes 312mm
Uprated dampers
solid bushes etc...

but not sure if pd100 has same internals as pd130...

A good breakers yard with a PD160 cupra in would be the easiest way.

Would probably be cheaper to buy a cupra than to convert yours.

Would also be cheaper to insure the standard cupra than a modded PD100

there is the hybrid way of going

but if it is just 160 bhp your looking for then you could look for people who are flogging their standard pd130 turbo and then 160 is achivable with just a remap

Remember you need bigger hubs to house the new brakes that you need aswell. They are expensive.

Why dont you just buy a PD130 and get it remapped. Your looking at about 170-180bhp which is more than the Cupra. Would save you alot of money, hassle, time and also means there are bolt on mods with no drawbacks.

No it varies between cars.
I've seen two sportrider PD100 Dervs that dyno'd at around 120 standard.
If your looking for Cupra performance through modification a PD100 Baseline will cost you so much its not worth it. If you start with a PD130 however the skys the limit.

But if your doing that... To be honest might aswell go for the Cupra as it has the FMIC and bigger brakes.

Yeah, not just that, the map makes a huge amount of difference, I was gunna go with revo, but ended up with a very nice custom code by Oscarli, Ill find out, Unit 18 did it, and i must say its absolutely brilliant.
But yeah as with anything, nothing is calibrated perfectly :p
