PD150 boost leak

My other half got her 03 Cupra last week, I've just removed the EGR cooler and I've modified the standard EGR as per a few guides I've seen on some forums so I've retained the shudder valve. It was all rather gunked up!!!

While I was at it I cleaned out the inlet manifold and fitted a new gasket.

Now I've not driven the car much but before I don't recall it sounding like it has a boost leak. If you put your foot down between 2500-3000rpm then it sounds like someones momentarily putting the heater blowers on low!

So I'm presuming boost leak? Anywhere I should look? I did have problems getting the clip back on the turbo inlet pipe (being down the side of the engine) but I was confident I got it on in the end.

Also maybe unrelated but it's had poor MPG since we got it, around 40mpg "normal" driving and 45mpg driving steady.

Check boost hoses, typically the ones that connect the pancake pipe to the intercooler. They're ****.

Just replaced all mine this evening.
