Having ago at this myself now, Did you use Tbolt clamps or Jubilee clips? or a combination of both?

I used jubilee clips (u actually used JCS Hi-grip clips, rounded edges and stronger all round) but t-bolt clamps would work just as well in the right sizes.

so i cut the step down pipe down, but turns out i didnt need too, had to make the straight pipe longer and order a new step down >.< its currently just hanging atm, as i cant attach it to the chassis point atm.

schoolboy error, measure twice, cut once :D

should be sorted properly next week, only need to drive like 3 miles this week. :p

Nice job! Hopefully that'll hold well for you.

I've recently ordered a 70mm alloy coupler with lips on so I can try and sort that joint out as it is a little bit dubious!

i was thinking about that, cutting the oem coupler off the end of the pipe and using a alloy tube like you suggest. It worked fine for the EGR delete.

    Cheers mate.

I don't think I will bother with this as my cr is quite low so by what you said will hitt the driveshaft.

    Cheers

Had mine on since I posted the guide and touch wood it hasn't come off in the last 12 months so no further issues with it to date.

Yes it can cause problems with the driveshaft but these can be sorted by simply loosening the jubilee clip, twisting the red boost pipe until it's clear of the driveshaft and then tightening the jubilee clip again.

The same applies to the pulley, mine has no problems even though there's only about 5mm clearance but if it catches just loosen the clips, twist the silicone pipes and tighten again so that the tension on the pipes holds everything where it needs to be :)

This combined with a cold air feed and EGR delete means revving to 5krpm freely and more throttle response.

no Ramair jus sell the SFS stuff (on ebay)

kits here now, shud get that on this weekend :D

Darkside was 430 inc vat, for a full pipe kit, both uppoer hoses and pancake section

the sfs kit is about 280 for just the pancake and then another 280 for the upper section. its also made up from MORE parts, unlike the the darkside kit is only 2 alloy pipes on the upper part, with 3 silicons, where the sfs kit is 4 pipes with 5 silicons, less to go wrong.

which makes you wonder, since the sfs kit is just straight pipes with silicons doing the bends, where as the darkside kit is all curved pipes that are welded, which surely takes/costs more to produce, but is cheaper to buy.

    Hats off to Darkside!

Darkside is normally sold without connectors and then add one extra pennies for standard fmic and egr connectors.
