I'm looking at a pipercross panel filter, allard egr delete, decat & mufflerectomy then stage 1 revo.

Would all this give me around 200bhp?

The clutch and flywheel were done in the past 6 month, however I have been told my turbo won't last long running this sort of power?

Not really looking to hybrid as don't want too much money in the car

Advice is appreciated :D

mine runs 197 on standard turbo and no other mods apart from egr mapped out
i had to fit a uprated clutch as the standard one couldnt handle the torque
its been done 50k and the turbo is fine so far
it all depends on how you drive and look after the car
change oil regular with good quality
let the car warm up and then let it cool down after using

That's good power without no other mods. What map is that?
Yea been told my clutch wont last long, just gonna try keep the torque below 300lbft.

Having a heavy right foot wont help though lol

Ha, standard clutch holds on pretty well to 410ft/lbs for me at the moment ;)

You should be able to get to around a safe 190bhp with the standard turbo, 200bhp will be possible but I suspect you would start having smoke and strain the turbo as recommended max safe boost is around 1.65-1.7bar. Drive the car properly and not WOT from cold and leave the engine idling for 30secs to a minute before turning off will help keep it in good condition.

Ha what you had done to get that?
Yea like a said mate am only looking for around 200bhp anyway & my turbos in good condition so should be ok. I drive it sensible most of the time, just don't want to replace clutch within first month of having remap.

I think I'll be getting it mapped at awesome gti or rs tuning in Leeds. Heard they do a good job & know what there doing, don't really wanna be forking out £400 at revo

map

had my map done at motec in earls barton
ive known mike for several years and he does all of the local VW/Audi dealers in the area
yes its a agressive map but it hasnt given me any problems with excessive smoke or anything
checked last night to see how many miles its done since map and its 47k
i believe the map is a ascarli written design with tweaks done by mike

Shark performance. How much did it set you back? Decent power figures?

That's still cheaper than what revo have quoted me. Not right bothered about peak numbers just want a smooth curve that's not gonna rip my clutch & flywheel apart

That's your decision and yours alone mate. I've had Revo software on 3 diesel cars now and have no gripes with it. It was stage 1 on my leon then I had stage 2 on my arosa and stage 2 on my golf. Great fun!

Might be worth extra pennies then. How did the car feel compared to standard mate?
