Phone Button on Steering Wheel

I have just fitted a Kenwood DNX520VBT

So far so good.........

Some things that irritate me about it though

1) When I press the phone button on the steering wheel it activates the iPod source - dont know why and dont know if/how it can be changed to switch to the phone source

2) Album artwork only shows up as a small(ish) icon - it would be nice to have the album cover filling the screen when playing music from USB

3) Does not work with MFD - just says "AUDIO" and "ACTIVE"

4) Climate control does not show up on the screen

Just a few niggles really- but other than that its pretty good

you may need a steering interface device to make the mfd/steering controls work. the same could also be said of using the bluetooth set up for your mobile phone

Some headunits allow button reconfiguration, try going into
Settings on headunit and see if it allows changes etc.

I'd contact Kenwood about this and see if they have a special cable, adapter, connector, etc. that would allow a complete sync between the head unit and the car's OEM parts.

I have problems too with my newly installed kenwood. Y does my mute button not mute? It just makes it quieter lol

I wish my RCD310 head unit had a mute button. I have to lower the volume all the way down for it to mute, it's so annoying. Even the cheapest of cars have a mute button ffs!!
