Can anyone post a picture of their cupra with 215/40/17 tyres? Just want to see how it looks with none stretched tyres.

I'm expecting this to improve road noise and comfort upgrading to this size just dont want it to look daft

Cheers

All of them are 215/40, various different tyre makes. You'll not notice any difference with them to 205

so did the road noise not change at all then either?

It does look alot better though with 215 tyres on.

I didn;t notice any big difference with road noise tbh.

Depending on the height of the car, and which brand you go for, some of them will rub a bit too

ride hight is standard so i shouldn't expect any rubbing to be honest.

Got alot of noises that i want to try sort out at the moment that are annoying!

Took a few pictures of my wheels with 215/40/17's which I just had fitted after I refurbished my wheels. They look better than the stretched look the standard size have.

Thanks.

I went for 205/40/17 in the end (standard) just so it didn't cause any issues with rubbing as I was advised in the tyre place.

I got kumho fitted in the end don't look as stretched actually as the other tyres I had on. I'll take a photo tomorrow.

I had kuhmo's and they looked ok but I have one old Fulken left and that looks very stretched even though its the same size.
I also went up a size to try and protect the wheel a bit but the wheel still slightly stickes out a bit beyond the tyre.

Arr right. Im impressed with the kuhmo's. Really good in the wet and really good in the dry and also don't look as stretched as what was on. Also very quiet compared to what I had which was Toyo proxies T1R.

Only cost me £270 for 4 fully fitted. Bargain I thought.

Thats a good price. I bought acellera's they were £49 off the internet plus £14 to have them fitted at my local tyre place.

They are only a budget brand but they get good reviews and as i had the same tyres on my old m3 and they gripped ok on that so i thought i would get them again.
