Poor radio reception after Pioneer install

Had an Pioneer F900BT installed but i've got a couple of problems with the radio:

1 - AM radio has no reception at all. If i manually tune to the freqency for 5 live there's something very faint through the fuzz.

2 - FM radio isn't too strong either. It often loses Radio 1 completely.


Is this a problem with the fakra adapter they have used?

The Leon uses an amplified aerial which would have been powered originally from the factory-fitted standard head unit. If the head unit is replaced then a powered aerial adaptor need to be used. My guess would be that they've either not used the right adaptor or just not connected the power to the adaptor.
