Power socket live when ignition off?

We go camping in our Arona Excellence. Sometimes we want to charge up mobiles or
tablets overnight using the power socket, but of course can’t, as it is dead. Has anybody heard of
a mod where either the power socket is live, or another power socket fitted, maybe in the
boot or under the bonnet, so we can charge up things with the ignition off?

Check your fuse box, I am sure there will be an always on plug so that you could make your own connection.

However I would have thought it better (for the car) if you just bought yourself a battery pack that you can recharge phones with.
I don't go camping but I do take a battery pack with me for that very reason.

+1 on the above, charge up the battery pack while driving then use it to charge your accessories when you switch off your car

MQB VAG cars.

Very easy modification. Have done it on Leon/Golf/Passat.
Fusebox is behind the glovebox in Rhd models on Golf/Leon.

If you want permanent 12v move fuse 40 one step up, yellow 20A fuse.¨
