Well got my Battery..

Went for a Bosch Silver S5 74Ah as it was all they had..

Strange with the discount, asked at the counter and they said internet orders only.
So I went out side, sat in the car, ordered on my phone and then back in to collect.
The Winter25 and Giveaway25 code exclude batteries, so I had to use the Battery15 code for 15% off..
Worth going outside to save 15 quid.

Hope to fit it in daylight tomorrow..

New Battery is on, now fingers crossed the power steering is OK..

Pig of a job though, as had to remove the rear cover off the headlight to get to the battery securing bolt, and during the wiggling etc to get the bolt and battery out, the spring clip thing which holds the headlight cover on fell off !!

Had to remove the air cleaner, battery box and the battery platform to get to the the clip that had fallen.

Took an hour all in all, just to fit an battery, and all in the rain to..

Hopefully power steering light and heavy steering is a thing of the past !!

Just read through this thread, very interesting as my Cordoba seems to be suffering from the same issue. Did the new battery resolve things for you too Andy?

I do 10 miles to work and 10 miles home, so should be enough to keep it charged up.
Thanks for your help.

10 miles should be plenty to charge the battery each time but as a battery gets older it doesn't 'take' as much charge if you see what I mean? Fully charged may only be 75% or less of its new capacity.
