Pre and Facelift headlights - Any difference

I need to replace my headlights on my 56 plate leon. The headlights have the electric adjusters (not automatic), non zenon, non projector, just the normal headlights.

My question is can I use lights from a 09 leon on my leon ?

I'm not familiar with the differences, and don't want to buy something that wont fit my car or give me trouble.

Pretty sure they are a different shape so FL lights won't fit a PFL car.
