Hi,

I've got a 2003 20v 1.8t Cupra and need a new cam belt. Only got 48000 on the clock but it's never had it done. I've been quoted £310 + vat from a non Seat Dealer. Is this fair?

Also my management light came on and Seat said it the secondary air injection has an incorrect flow and it needs a new air pump. Luckily I have a mate who works for Snow who is getting me the part for trade instead of retail as Seat wanted £690 for the part and fitting.

My mate tells me the air pump isn't very important but i keep getting conflicting views. Can any one give me some advise. Sorry for the boring questions. Appreciate any help.

Thanks,
Liam.

Sound, thanks, mate. Seat quoted me £275 without the water pump but I didnt ask if that included fitting it. Gonna give 'em a bell tomorrow.
