Quarter mile PD130

Me and a couple mates chipped in to buy one of them G-tech pro timer things, there supposedly pretty accurate,

i wanted to see how quick my car was on the quarter mile, so i set it all up and did 3 runs:

Run 1 - 15.65 @94 mph
Run 2 - 15.72 @ 91mph
Run 3 - 15.44 @95mph

What times has everyone else ran for a chipped ibiza PD130?

Do these times sound right?

Seems slow to me
I ran with my ibiza mk3 tdi110 with 145hp and 350Nm a 15.62sec.
So,you have more power and have about the same time as me .

I know of a chipped ibiza tdi130 that runs below 15.
I'm planning to get mine also below 15.

BTW, i had a full tank, and it was in the damp, should i be looking around the 15 secs dead mark?

will 17" alloys slow me down?

well i think you may be disappointedas even chipped cupra tdi's have struggled to get below 15,

Someone on here got 14.93 in a chipped cupra tdi

where as cupra chris managed to get a 13 in his chipped mk4 1.8T cupra

I'll have to say that I had removed all of the seats (except the drivers ),had almost an empty tank and removed the spare tire etc.
A friend of mine with a leon tdi130 chipped around 195hp did a 15 flat at the 1/4mile.

what chip has he got to gain an extra 65bhp?

so anything close to 15 secs is good?

i've got a G-Tech and now my car can do a 0-60mph in 6.02 and a 1/4 mile in 14.62 on it. when my car was standard i went to pod and put the G-Tech on and i got 15.06 on the G-Tech and 15.01 on the pod timers so pretty accurate.

Close to 15sec is good for 175hp.

You probably havent't heard of him because he's a tuner from Holland : JD engineering.

It's easy to get so much power from a tdi130 but it isn't advisable for daily drive.
He can switch between programs with vag-com.The 195hp is the sprint program an an 180hp program for daily.

I know a couple of friends with much hp from a tdi with only a chip.
Another one with an audi a4 tdi130 with 205hp with only a chip....again,this is just the sprint program.

Yeah, they sound pretty close to what they should be, my Cupra ran 15.4s @ 95mph (as standard) at Crail but haven't run it with my remap yet - as the clutch won't cope

Can the G-Tech do 60ft times?

The higher spec ones can do everything but they cos t nearly £200, and mine only cost £30

I have the same one then.
But the 1/4mile time I gave was from a legal 1/4mile drag.

Id imagine taking out the spare, only having enough fuel for the strip, and slamming some 15's/16's on will bring it down to around 15's if not, remember to go for a pee b4 u do it next time

What car have you got?

106 GTi with enclosed filter, scorpion exhaust, short ratio 1.1 gearbox and stripped of all the back seats, spare wheel, carpets etc.

I'd say those times were pretty accurate on the Gtech, but the terminals seem a couple of mph high. If I'd bothered stripping my car and running on fumes, I'd have seen 14.5 secs without a doubt, maybe 1 or 2 mph more terminal. 2.2 sec 60 foot time for the record.
