Radiator Removal

Radiator Removal Guide?

Anyone got tips on removal for a new one, or a Guide? had a we look thismorning but looks like more than half hours work so had to wait, any pointers??

Disconnect the 2 pipes on the radiator. Then on the slam panel bit there are 2 M6/M8/M10 bolts that go down into the rubber mounts on the radiator. Remove them and it should just lift out.

don't forget to disconnect the fan :)
but it is just how craig said
don't put too much pressure on the actual bare aluminium as you will crush the fins/cut up fingers :D

Awesome, Cheers Guys, i will give it a bash tomo as off work :D so it is just the two bolts at the top holding the radiator in then?? Nothing at the bottom but the Pipes??

What about installing the new one, for making sure there are no air locks in the system?

The bottom of the radiator has 2 like small shafts, that fit into the slam panel (that has 2 holes) then when you tighten the bolts on the top, it keeps the slam panel in place, if you understand? You will see when you have a crack at it

Took the old one out tonight, my god what a mission, easy job normally but buy the looks of it the radiator has been in since the factory :S pipes seized on etc, Fan unit had to come off first then pipes with great effort, got there in the end, pick up new one at 9am tomo :D keep you posted!
