Radio Switching Itself On

Hi all,

If the Cupra radio keeps switching itself on, is the fault with the fascia panel (which contains all the controls) or the radio unit (that sits in the dash)?

I had this fault, it is called the 'Herbie' fault, it is usually the radio, turns on, drains the battery and sets off the alarm.... had to have the radio rebuilt.

I have this problem on my car but I'm struggling to find a breaker, where did you get the radio rebuilt and how much did it cost?

Hi James,
It was about 5 or 6 years ago, I remember Seat saying a new radio would be 600.00 so I told them to stuff it. Went to a car electrician specialist in Hastings, who sent the radio to someone in Tunbridge Wells, think it cost about 350.00 then.
