I don't know how long it's been doing it but I dropped my mate off tonight and we both noticed a distinct rattling noise when he opened the door. I had my foot on the clutch at the time. When I released the pedal the noise pretty much stopped. Does this sound like something that should be covered under warranty? Warranty runs out in Sept and the car's only done 22k miles.

Thrust bearing in the clutch, don't hold your breath for the warrenty to pay for it though.
They see the clutch as a consumable so don't cover it. however they will prob offer to strip it, take a look and then if in their opinion it is a warrenty job you won't have to pay.

Their opinion is normaly not good for your wallet.

Sounds familiar, I though I heard a noise like this the other day in my car.
