Success - my home-made valve tool worked perfectly and I removed all the inlet valves no problem this morning. If anyone wants to borrow it once I'm done with it just let me know. :D

Full set of inlet and exhaust valves:

Empty cylinder head:

I started to clean up the head and get rid of all the carbon/coke build up:

I found a machining company locally who will skim the head for £30 + VAT so I think I'll get this done once I'm finished cleaning up and porting the head.

Watch how much trust you have in the torque figures.
I've found three cases of the wrong torques printed in the old ELASWIN.
These were for the wish bone rear captive nut/bolt, and the two front DBM bolts.

I can send you the how to in a PDF if my eBahn starts working again. Setting up the cams is easy.

Remember to do stage 2 of the head torquing twice. So 40nm, 60nm (twice) , 90 degs, then 90 degs.
