Hi guys and gals

Just a quick one, Seat just rang me asking me to bring in my 2007 XL in.

They said there are 2 outstanding recalls on it

1) Primary fan resistor ??? told by the young lady at Seat it could be air con related

and

2) Central wiring harness in steering wheel? She said it is prone to fraying??

Any one else had to go in for these and if so got any more info as she couldn't help me any further nor can i see anything on the VOSA website

Cheers for looking

The second one rings a bell. Last time the XL was is for some work they mentioned some electrical harness work that was outstanding. This prompted another technician to say "If your car hasn't caught fire recently then there's probably nothing wrong with it". Guess he hadn't had too much customer-facing time.....

The fan resistor recall is just to check fan speed resistor is in place (Within heater box) and to secure it with a screw
The other recall is to secure the wiring loom above the steering column with a cable tie (to prevent it from chaffing)

The dealer may find that either recall are not required once they look at it.
