Remote Locking

Wife dropping kids off at Granparents today, everyone got out, key in ignition, engine on. Wife returns to car, car had locked itself. Car sat locked with engine running until I could turn up with my key. Should the locking have done this? I know it locks after you drive off but what would have made it do this today? Any help appreciated.

Not sure if it should lock while the engines running.
But yes, after a few mins they do auto lock.
Theirs a button beside the drivers seat between the doors to stop that happening...
Again, not sure if it'll help during the engine running etc.

Seems very strange, mine only auto locks when either unlocked then don't open a door for a couple of minutes or so and when i hit 10mph approx. Never happened when engine running and still??

Yeah, don't understand it as during the cold weather I would have gone out in the mornings and ran the engine to warm it up before heading off to work and it never locked. Will just put it down to one of those things because if I accused Mrs Flyer of doing something that caused it to happen, well, we all know what the fallout from that would be!
