remove shaft to fit ball joint

is it possable to replace the ball joint without having to remove the driveshaft ? myns either loose or knackered. either way i think ill need to remove the shaft to be able to get an allen key in the top while i fasten the nut up.

I've removed both ball joints and complete arms without removing the drive shaft,
Its a pain though and in hindsight it would have been easier and faster if I had.

Dead easy to do so, if you can get a big lever bar to pull the arm down once the ball joint is slack off the hub carrier and move it out the way.

I've done mine today unwind the top nut so it touches the hub then just cut it off much easier than trying to wind it all the way
