removed box replaced with pipe

I have a 1.9 tdi leon replaced back box with straight pipe was this a bad idea

y? its a 2010 model with a mr2 style b/box if that makes any sense replaced with a bit of pipe

Just less restriction on the exhaust system and is louder. Might make a bit more power and will obviously make more noise.

the only thing you may have an issue with is warrenty.

no loss in power, i have done this to my mk4 golf tdi to give it that bit of grunt

It wudnt affect performance might get a more power but won't b dat noticeable but it will b alot noiser guy by mine done it to is mk4 golf Tdi noisy not my taste must n honest

the way i look at it is the pipe removal was 25 notes

decat will spool the turbo up quicker, you will notice a little bit of improvement on accelaration.
