Rev Limiter?

Does the new Leon have a rev limiter?
Particuarly the 1.9 TDI
This is my first ever brand new car so i'm still not sure what to expect with simple questions like this.
I'm running it at the moment and haven't come close to the red line anyway but I'm wondering for the future.

hmm, it would stop acceleration at the red line. I guess it would be limited by the ECU.

I.e. the chip that controls the engine.

Best thing to do with a diesel is give it some beans........obviously after the oil is up to temp.....

The more they get punished, the looser the engine gets....faster.....

The looser the engine, the more powerful and economical the diesel will be
