CFs look ok for now but bearing in mind when the weather warms up those figures will rise too...What timing and fuel are you running Dave?

Boost seems to be tracking ok, meeting and exceeding the requested until the arse end of the rev range.

Does it feel down on power?

Can you log the intake temps? Maybe it's pulling back due to heatsoak?

Isn't intake temperature in Block 118 that I've logged above?

No, it doesn't feel down on power but you start to doubt the butt dyno after getting poor RR figures.

(Thanks for your time, BTW  )

Sorry Dave, missed that :(

The intakes creep up pretty quickly. I think you'd regain your lost power with an FMIC mate.

Take the RR figs with a pinch of salt bud :)

I know I should ideally have a FMIC...... It's an expensive fix if my problem is elsehere though....... What confuses me is that Saul, for instance with a very similar setup achieved far better results on Awesome's rollers........without a FMIC...

I can understand your point mate. Would be interesting to see the same blocks logged on Sauls car.

If you're not convinced it's because of heat soak i'd start checking the obvious like MAFs, hoses, exhaust leaks, N75 etc etc.

I'm sure someone more experienced will be able to cast more light on the situation though bud. I'm still fresh faced in the 1.8T

dave send me the logs in excel format (easier to read)

i log block 004 for charge temps

looking at them up there ^, theres some strange boost deviation but i cant make out at which RPM

boost duty cycle is n75, looks ok, 100 in that column means wastegate shut = boost leak

Ok - Coops has kindly sold me his SP3 so I'll have that in a few days.

At the moment I'm still at a loss as to where to go, though:confused: . As my CFs seem low, I'd be looking to increase timing.......

Saul hasn't had a chance to get back to me yet. Would anyone else care to comment on my logs?

i wouldnt adjust your timing mate - I'm running boost 6 timing 6 (newer sps3) and mine is about the same as yours - I had it at timing 7 and although i recon it was slightly quicker, but the CF readings got quite a lot worse. Too much for the warmer weather, definately. Was seeing up to 8 on 1 cylinder, which isnt too good.

My car i think would benefit from FMIC - but its a lot of dosh for not much gain IMO... probably still do it though!

I've got a tad over 236bhp and 238lbft IIRC.

Your maf values look OK
Your boost and N75 duty look OK
Your Timing advance and cf values look about right.
Your fuel trims are well within limits.
Your fueling looks bang on.

It doesn't look like there's anything wrong with your car.
I'd pull your plugs and take a look, and change them if there's anything wrong.

Ask someone with similar mods to do a 60-100mph in 4th and send you the time, and then compare it to yours. If there's more than a few 10's difference, you hava a problem.

Plugs new about 600 miles ago - but I'll have a look.

:D If I put mine on the same Rollers as you did, I'd probably get the same. ;)

Then why are you worried about your power being down? How low is it compared to what you think it should be?
