Rns-510 issues

Recently trial fitted one in my 2008 fr but noticed one strange thing in that I can hear feint static through the speakers even when the unit is switched off any ideas

Do you have an amp in the car?

Not an aftermarket one

Also when I press media all I get is this screen

Have you tried rebooting the unit?
I think you hold the left and right arrow buttons down (top left) as well as the top right button (Speaker I think) and keep it pressed until the screen goes off.

What firmware is on the unit?

Yeh I've tried that but the screen goes off but doesn't come back on until I turn it on, this is the firmware

I'll check my RNS-510 version, but I am sure there is a much newer firmware than that. Like 3xxx newer. Maybe give that a try?
