A few months on and thought I'd post a little update on what's been happening.

With Pedro off to his new home in Scotland I've had a couple of shots from the new owner with where he currently sits until the re-shell. Sounds like he has big plans with a full cage and BT setup which would be nice to see.

In the meantime my goal to own one of these S2 supercharged Exiges remains, though finding the right one in Krpyton green is a challenge:

Whilst I continue to save and keep a loose eye out for this little track weapon I ended up with a little impulse buy last month when I found this for sale online. Always liked them and picked up an immaculate example of the facelift AP1 GT.

Plan is to keep it for a year whilst I keep an eye out for my Exige S and enjoy it on this little road trip me and a group of friends have planned in June/July, covering the Nürburg 24hr, Stelvio Pass, Lake Garda, Lamborghini & Pagini factory, Mount Amiata, Tuscany, Turin, Geneva and a whole lot of Italian coastal scenery mixed in for good measure before we head back to Nurburg for 5 final days with a group of friends ready for a full track day on the good old Nordschleife.

In the mean time I'm keeping myself entertained with a little track time in Harry at Castle Combe's Spring Action Day, which ended up more like a swimming lesson but all good fun:

Next week I'll get some semi-slicks on order ready for some further fun across the continent.

I presume you can drive so this isn't a suck eggs type post but do get the Geo checked on the car before you really track it and watch the videos online of the number of S2000 owners who swap ends and bang into stuff - it seems one or two suffer a poor transition from playstation heroics to real time skill :D

That said, i'm 5 years into owning mine ( all year round / daily drive ) and it has been great fun and one of the best cars i've owned.

Agreed. The car is due a service next month and I'm looking to get the geometry done by a specialist with the latest settings for these cars before I head out to the ring - though keeping it nice and balanced on the throttle and feeling how the car is responding goes a long way to preventing a lot of the videos I've seen. If you watch my video of Combe above you can see a few wiggles round Quarry corner; it definitely demands your attention when trying to get the most out of it.

Great fun though, a proper driver's car.
