Rough idle

can anyone shed any light please
My idle is very rough as if missfiring feels the the car is going to shake itself to bits if i put a little bit of revs on it seems to idle better and when under load ie normal driving it seems ok
With clutch in or out it makes no difference which i think rules out the dmf ive read it could be the fuel regulator which i changed having absolutely no effect
Im now at a loss anyone have any ideas thanks

i could be wrong, but i thinks faulty injector could be causing a rough idle/misfire

Has this happened since you last fueled up? Or has it been happening for some time?
There seems to be alot of dodgy fuel about at the moment. Just a thought..

I had a new cambelt fitted a few month back and everything was great then out of no where it started the rough idle

Ive had it on vagcom and apparently theres a problem with my inlet manifold flaps and motor apparently making me need a nee inlet manifold
Is this the only cure or is there any other way round this ie remap
