Squeaking from the front is normally the anti roll bar bushes.

But other parts that wear are the console bushes and the drop links themselves.

I'd think that you could do worse than cut loose from the Seat dealers and take it to the proper VAG independant place in Dysart www.starperformance.co.uk and ask them to replace the TCA voided bushes with Cupra solid ones - what good is a warranty when some of the dealers are not up to supporting these cars and their problems. Who was your dealer - Seat Fife in Glenrothes? I thought that they would have been okay as far as Seat dealers go in Scotland, my daughter bought an SC there a couple of weeks ago.

Edit:- and get them to replace the drop links while they are at it, the change in the feel of the car will improve quite a bit as well as you hopefully losing the noises.

i had a clonking noise from the front of my car i knew it was either arb or top mount bushes,i mentioned it when my car went in for a service at the dealers they fixed it by tightening the drop links as they were loose so i was told either way i dont get the clonking noise anymore.

 .. ive noticed a small rubbing sound when braking & when going in and out of my drive a slight clonking? sound from the front suspension .. seen a lot of threads about this and a lot of different answers .. what is THE best solution for this? .. is it a tough job to get done? what sort of prices would a private job be? or is it best to send it 2 the dealership and get them to look and just mention what it is you guys have all had done?

cheers!

Ive had mines in to the local dealers, they were looking at it for an hour and a half and they couldnt find any fault no idea what todo now

i just dont want to be sending the car in and out of the garage just for them to keep telling me they cant find whats wrong. If i went in a said yep can you change whatever and they done it and it sorted then that would be great! .. seems it could be a few things

cheers

Its the first time ive took it to a garage with a problem touchwood just thought id take it to the actual seat dealer rather than anyone else because id thought they would have more of an idea about the car

ive got the same squeaking noise coming from the front of my 1.2, happens when i come off the accelerator, drive over bumpy road, speed bumps. Had the front bushes replaced 2 weeks ago... apparently were well worn out. Car stopped making the noise for 2 days, now the noise is back again. Its much worse in the rain. Stumped as to what it is now, find it amazing that so many people get this problem yet there's no obvious answer as to what's causing it

i was getting this noise too, I found it seemed to be coming from the bumpstops on my coilovers and just sprayed wd40 on the bumpstop and moved them up and down, all seems fine now, still get a tiny noise but the car is going into a vag specialist on saturday to have the cupra bushes fitted, then ill be doing the tracking etc so should be sorted, i always expected a couple of extra little noises when fitting coilies but not sure if you lot are on standard suspension or not?

I'd think that you would be better off getting your VAG specialist to do a complete four wheel re-alignment after getting the Cupra bushes fitted - that will include the toeing as well (I'd reckon that you meant "toeing" when you wrote "tracking").

Yeh the by tracking i meant the toe but most people just call that the tracking i guess haha. Thats the only thing that is adjustable on these cars :(

boss of where i work on the weekend said he would help me set the car up as the motorsport mechanic leaves all his equipment there over the weekend (geometry equipment that uses the face of the wheel to measure from rather than attaching round the wheel, nothing fits round my wheels cos its too low)

Would rather do it myself with expert help and for free really. The motorsport mechanic himself did my old car with me ( camber and toe ) and it was a different car afterwards.
