Running Issue (HELP needed !)

Hi Guys,

So for the last 2 months my car has been out of action, the problem is that keeps occurring is that my car climbs on average 2 about 3000RPM then back fire ( almost sounds like a gunshot)
I’ve had it Down at AMD tuning twice now and they can’t seem to help me... Firstly they made me change my MAF sensor to a brand new Bosch one, then replacing my Coils.. then finally told me I required a new Lambda sensor also Bosch and which none of this has cured my running issue.

I have a fault code reader at home and the only error re-occurring is that my Speedo hasn’t been working this is also in conjunction with my fuel gauge fluctuation up and down, could this cause a running issue ? I’ve also just changed my plugs to NGK platinum’s.

Any help greatly appreciated , coming to a loose end here lol

• Full 3inch de-cat system
• Walboro 255 fuel pump
• Forge 007 diverter (dumpvalve)
• Toyosport front mounted intercooler
• Replace all boost hoses to forge silicone hoses including turbo intake pipe
• 280bhp jetex open cone
. Stage 2 AmD Re-map
. All vac hoses changed to nice silicone


That's most of my mods , My engine code is AYP and I'm on a Y reg.

Turns out it was the Fuel pump, does anyone know if there is a rubber seal that goes on the pump before u screw on the plastic top ?

seems that on a lot of other 1.8t they have a rubber seal but seems not to
