Hi

I have a Leon 2014 registered January 2015, Only had the car 1 month bought from Arnold Clark with 1 owner 30k miles, i've noticed it has the 2014 maps installed and hasn't been updated from previous owner, i've tried everything online but still nothing, is there anyone in Edinburgh with part number 5F0.919.866.F that has the recent map updates and are willing to help me out with a copy on my SD Card, i went in to Seat today and they will call me on Monday with a price to Update my Card to recent maps so if there is anyone out there that can save me some money id be very great full.

Thanks

If your navigation system is MIB2 std. you can update maps yourself if you are computer savvy, there is a post on this site detailing all you need to know.

Hi, its the MIB1 and i've tried everything to update it, Seat said the car comes with 3 years map updates when new but the Owner has to update it, as it was registered in 2015 they said they will call me on Monday as it may still be under the 3 years and they can do it for free so hears hoping.

That’s about your only option to upgrade the MIB1. No method exists for us meer mortals in the UK to update without Seat Dealer involvement (feel free to correct me if I’m wrong).

Ok, so I spoke to Seat today and they told me that online is meant to be the only way we can update our satnav as they try to stay out of that department, I told him I’ve tried everything but still nothing, so I’m getting the car booked in for them to update it and it’s costing £120.

I'm 99.9% sure, even if the car is brand new, they do not update the maps for free in the first 3 years, or any year.

Seat said the first 3 years of map updates are free online but it’s up to the owner to do it them self, that’s what I got told, the technician said there’s been a few problems updating the 5F0 Modles he said if they can’t update it then they will have to contact headquarters to see what’s wrong. So I’m calling back up tomorrow to get the car booked in to see if they can update it, I’ll keep you all posted.

I'm assuming your using the same garage as me? Broxburn? We got a new leon fr estate from there in April, personally I think the sat nav is ****, any time I need it I just use android auto. So let me know how you get on as I still need to get it serviced there.

I got mine from Seafield, I’ve not had any problems with it it’s been perfect, I just want the new maps that’s all. I bought the 2 years service & mot plus car care when I bought the car, only thing is is the car care doesn’t cover the satnav so I have to fork out for that, I’ll keep you updated tho.
