Seat Ibiza Cupra Decat....

Hi all,

I own a Seat Ibiza Cupra 1.4 TSI (2015) and I am contemplating having a remap done and a couple of add-ons. However the add-ons I am considering recommend removing the catalytic converter. Would anybody be able to shed some light on the subject of passing an MOT test without the catalytic converters.

Not much to shed light on. It's a fail. My Cupra had it's MOT in December and I have a 200 cell race cat (2.5 years old). We basically spent 4 hours revving, and racing it up and down the dual carriageway and it barely scraped through in the end. But next year I won't be so lucky. Maybe there's a 200 cell cat available for your model also - just make sure it's the road version, not the track one I have.
