£10,995 is a high price to pay to save the planet and all that. Those Toyota Gaygo's/Citroen C1/Pug 107 are only £6-7K and are almost as green with group 1 insurance, 65MPG and £35 per year road tax, oh, and 104 g/km CO2.

If I ever feel like going green, I'll look into one! :bleh:

Think the polo bluemotion is slightly better specced than the ecomotion isn't it? Pretty sure the bluemotion had alloys... I could be majorly wrong though...

But its still such a high price to pay, give it 5 years and everyone will be pushing the "green" cars and will be loads cheaper.

The Polo BlueMotion will be available in two different trims, with other standard features including:

* 14" low weight alloy wheels
* Body colour BlueMotion styling pack
* Multifunction computer - used to call up information such as the excellent fuel economy figures
* Electric front windows (and rear on 5dr)
* Central locking
* Powered / heated door mirrors
* Side airbags
* Basic radio / CD player with 4 speakers
* 74.3 mpg on the combined cycle and 99 g/km CO2

Polo BlueMotion 1 will start at £11,995.
Polo BlueMotion 2, starting at £12,845, offers additional specification:

* Remote central locking
* Illuminated vanity mirrors and two reading lights in front
* Alarm
* Air conditioning
* Coming home lighting, auto-dimming mirror and rain sensor
* Leather steering wheel, handbrake grip and gear knob
* 70.6 mpg on the combined cycle and 104 g/km CO2

"

The Bluemotion is a better deal imo.

Looking at the spec, im guessing the bluemotion is the Polo S ?

I can see people buying them, then remap & wheels. 100bhp easily enough, free road tax & will roll well
