Given your impressive engineering qualifications I would have imagined that you would have noticed from the power output graphs that the box did nothing.

The question that keeps cropping up is why you post here if you don't want to hear what knowledgeable people say on the subject and prefer your evidence-free ideas?

What impressive engineering qualifications does he have? :S

I'm gonna put this out there and say that I'm 99% confident that the bhp shown is from the flywheel. I can't wait for the confirmation from awesome.

While you may of course be right, but if it is flywheel bhp then how does the torque go up to 295 but the power stay at 170? I'm genuinely curious (not being an expert in the matter).

Could it be an economy minded map that increases peak torque lower down the rev range, but keeps it lower at the top so that it does not affect peak hp?

That a very good question, the one I would like to know the answer to, hopefully seat can be able to contact the original owner before me so I can find out what his done to my car lol

Looking at the RR again, why does it spike at 2000rpm then drop off dramatically? And the same on the HP.

Never seen another do that before. Maybe the clutch has slipped slightly. Increased the torque massively. Because if you look at the figure it drops off at 250ftlb that's around the standard figure (238ftlb I think)

Maybe something has made it spiked as the HP jumped aswell which isn't normal.

Something else to think abiut

Standard map and a shoddy/faulty tuning box as im sure i said a few pages back. Torque spike likely a result of overboost, can happen under load. Data logging would highlight this

Was the box turned on?

On a serious note, there is either something wrong with the tuning box or your car is not a 170bhp standard.

Hahahahahahahaah that's just made my day. Surely this will end this thread forever.

Complex equation, but I'm pretty sure if you take the number of people originally interested in this thread, add the amount of flywheel horses to that number, then divide that figure by the same number, you will arrive at the number of people still interested in this thread.
