Afternoon all.

Bit of an odd one here...

I have owned a 2011 Seat Leon FR 140bhp for just under a year and only recently passengers in the rear complain of headaches after long journeys, in particular my young daughter who complains the car smells in the back and feels sick and also complains about the smell and headaches

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated as i feel bad using this as a family car

Have you checked for dampness under the mat maybe water ingress

I do not think this issue would be car specific, there would be an immediate recall if so. As far as I am aware (im not very aware in anything) there are not any recalls for this. Try this - https://www.dft.gov.uk/vosa/apps/recalls/default.asp

Found some threads that may help you diagnose where a leak would be coming from.

Not a MK2, But useful anyway: https://forums.seatcupra.net/index.php?threads/fumes-in-car.199275/

This one seems particularly helpful: https://forums.seatcupra.net/index.php?threads/diesel-fumes-in-car.370790/
