Seat Leon Interior Lock/Unlock button

Hey, just got myself a Leon (Mk2) 1P and Im quite happy with it got quite a lot of car for my cash :D
Saying that I've got a little annoying issue I cant seem to figure it out maybe you guys can help a "noob" like me.
The remote fob locks and unlock the car perfectly, but once key is in ignition and I start driving, the car locks it self after a certain speed as it should, now if I want to stop and let a passenger in (picking up kids, wife ,etc.) their doors or the boot wont unlock if I press the unlock button near the gear stick, the only way to unlock things is either me manually let them in, or remove key from ignition and double press the fob unlock button, very annoying indeed , is this working as intended? I can use the lock interior button to lock the doors (I've tested it) and it lights orange but the unlock side of the same button doesn't seem to do anything at all... I can live with that minor issue but I thought I'd ask the proper experts to see if there's an issue and/or solution!
Thanks in advance.[B)]

It certainly should unlock the car so there is a definite fault.

Could be a duff switch.

Welcome to the forums

Thankx for the quick reply.
I was hopeful it might have been me doing something I wasn't aware of like setting some sort of "safe" system ... oh well I'll have to get it checked once it goes to it's service.

Could be something very simple, but in the meantime it's a good excuse not to pick up any passengers :p

my first call would be the switch... try to borrow one, or if you are handy with a multimeter, test it.
could be as simple as the connector not seated...

Looks like the one relating to 'drivers interior locking button' is your issue!

The fault code related to interior monitoring sensors comes on all cars, nothing you can do about it!

It's the locking switch in the centre console. Does yours have a key and a car with an open door on it? Or a locked and unlocked pad lock? If it's the first one they were prone to failure and were superseded by the latter as a replacement.

It was the first, Thanks. I am going to order a new one for the weekend. Are they easy to replace?

Its ok found the part number which is 5P0962125A for anyone googling this. I fixed the plastic dome button though by taking it apart and glueing a circul;ar piece of tinfoil to the plastic dome plunger :)
