Due to take my car in for a service in the next few weeks. Got a stage 1 p-torque remap on it. Will the dealers detect it and reset the ECU? Or can I tell them that I don't want it resetting?

Sorry bit of a dumb question lol havnt had a service from main dealer before.

Thanks

Just tell them you don't want them to do any ECU updates. They wouldn't reset the ECU if they found it, however if your ECU has an update available that would remove your remap...

Ok thanks I will tell them that. Just out of curiosity, what kind of updates would be available?

Erm no idea on that haha. Its just software updates but I don't particularly know what for. Maybe to iron out any bugs or anything.

I know where I got my remap done, if my ECU is updated they will reinstall the remap for £50. I'm not sure what P-Torque's policy is though

Oh ok. Yeah I will get in touch with Will at P-torque to find out the charge for reloading the map.

Was thinking of going Stage 2 but not sure if I want to take more of a hit on the MPG lol at the moment I'm only getting the low 20's on town runs :| shocking
