So today I have noticed a squeek from my brakes at very low speed. Basically as I am braking very lightly to a standstill and slowly beginning to pull away. It was actually doing my head in today. I know the discs can't be buckled or anything as I have replaced all discs and pads a few months ago and the car aint even done 2K in that time. Is there any way to stop it? For reference I have Pagid discs and Red stuff pads.

My fl Cupra does it too, worse since it got cold. Really really loud and is embarrassing when in traffic.

Mine is running genuine seat pads and discs.

Take the pads out and apply lots of copper grease to the backs of them = silent brakes.

My FR had the same issue and when I upgraded to cupra brakes I noticed my FR pads had no grease on the back of them, so they must not do it from the factory. Anyway I put loads on the new pads and I have never had a squeek out of them :)

As above copperslip the backs of the pads and the piston heads, messy job but worth it. Needs doing regularly in the winter or if you use a jet wash a lot. My ST3 had the same problem few years ago, did that and sorted

thanks for the replies guys. Will see if I can get it done at some point. Might be worth noting it is not when the break is depressed but just very very slow rolling forwards,

The squeel or squeek are the brake pads vibrating very very fast in the housing, so even if you are not braking the pads will still be in contact with the disk ever so slightly so you will still get the noise. Copper grease on the back will give the pad some cushioning and absorb the vibrations, so the noise will dissapear :)
