Had a mouldy smell inside my LCR most of the summer. I can't find any sign of damp inside the car. The windows don't mist up and I've been everywhere with a damp meter - perfectly dry. The door seals were all replaced a couple of years ago and it's not the usual leakage past the pollen filter.
So far this is what I've done:
The smell is still there. Not coming through the air vents, they're sweet as a baby's. No damp in the car. You notice the stink when opening the car door after it's been standing a few hours.
Now I'm thinking aircon evaporator drain tube. I've used the aircon a fair bit this summer and not noticed any water dripping out under the car. So, can anybody advise how the hell I find the drain tube and clean it out? I understand a tube goes through the bulkhead and drains underneath, but I don't know what to look for. Ta.
So far this is what I've done:
- replaced pollen/cabin filter
- used an aircon bomb to clean out the ducting
- taken out the front wing liners and cleaned the crud out of the bottom rear of the wings - there was a lot of leaf debris in there
