I had mine in a few weeks ago for a new bonnet liner and waterproofing which was done no bother. Strange that your local place doesn't know about it.

Seems to be the luck of the draw even now, I don't fully understand why certain dealers carry out the work no questions asked, others point blank refuse and the remainder have never heard of the "fix"

In fairness to my local dealers they are trying to find out and seem receptive to the information that I have passed on to them but they have scoured their systems and drawn a blank, the same central system I am told is accessed by all Seat dealers, so what my dealership see, any other Seat dealership should see which is what confuses me even further.

Just going to play the waiting game until they get back to me with some information.

With winter on the way (apparently, 25 degrees here today, and it's supposed to be October!!!) I decided to purchase some mud flaps for the car, just to help to try and keep the paintwork from all the stones and salt and other crap that batters the underside of the car.

Anyway as it was so nice out today I took 5 minutes out to fit them.

Don't think I'll bother with the front's, got the rears mainly because I wanted to try and limit the amount of crap that could get chucked up to the rear bumper/diffuser.

Well I've been waiting about 3 weeks now for a definitive reply on my mouldy bonnet liner issue that so many people suffer with Mk2's and basically been told that they are unable to repair it.

Here's the reply I received from my local dealer.

Hi,

Sorry for not getting back to you on Friday.

Unfortunately, SEAT no longer publish that TPI and therefore it is no longer relevant. There is no explanation as to why but I think that the repair was not successful.

As a result we are not able to repair under warranty as there is no claim instruction.

My apologies.

Regards,

Richard

Not sure what I'm supposed to do with that information, sounds like they are saying that the warranty doesn't cover defects from the factory.

Think I am going to speak with Seat UK and see if I can get some movement on this as it seems rediculous to me that a fault with the design won't be rectified under warranty.
