Got mine from someone breaking an A3 on eBay. It cost about £70 for the wheel / jack from memory then Dave at SERE got me sorted with the bolt to hold it all in place in the boot.

Seat price is around the £200 mark for a new one.

As long as it's 5x112 pcd it should fit. I have 17" wheels in my car so the 16" spare is the correct size. If you get one with a tool kit it will come with a new foam insert with the jack etc as there is no space for a jack in the existing one in the car.

Obviously remember to move the locking wheel nut to the new tool kit.

That's what I bought (tho mine was a lot cheaper) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/351855395320

I too needed a spare wheel for my Leon, not a problem I thought, I'll use one of my 16" winter wheels. Unfortunately this wheel lifted the boot floor too much, so despite the fact I don't like them, I bought an18" space saver and tool kit. Bought it off eBay for £62.50 including carriage. LOok at this one,

You need an 18" wheel to match up the outside diameter of your 17 or 18" wheel, contrary to what ChrisRibiza says, a 16" space saver will be too small.
Check the sizes on a tyre sizing site and you'll see what I mean.
225/45r17 = 634mm od
125/70r18 = 632mm od

I checked with a Seat dealer before purchasing, 18" is only required for a cupra to clear the larger brakes. It is the 16" wheel which is recommended for cars with 16/17" wheels.

I have also used my 16" space saver without any issues at all.

So my car is a 2015 leon fr , is it classed as St? And should I go for the 18" or 16" ?

And will the foam with the jack etc all fit ?

Thanks again

Hi Deano, if your car is a MK3 Estate then it is an ST. I believe only Cupra's need an 18 inch spare and my ST with 17 inch wheels has a 16inch factory fitted space saver and the tools are stored in a foam pad under the spare wheel. I noticed that some of the VW ones on ebay will not have the correct tool for removing the wheel nut covers.

I'm afraid I don't know the answer to that, I would suggest looking at some cars at dealers to see what they have fitted.

For use with 17" alloys use the 16" space saver, the profile of space saver tyres are huge and so make the rolling radius correct, 17" space savers are for car cars fitted with 18' alloys, strange I know but if in doubt check with your dealer or Horton.
I sell space saver kits at work but Kia wheels don't suit Seats.

I stand by my post no 5. You should be looking at an 18" space saver.
The sizes are as follows:-
225/45r17. 634mm od
225/40r18. 637mm od

125/80r18. 632mm od
125/80r16. 606mm od
The 18" space saver is the closest to the standard tyre for outside diameter, if you fit a 16" space saver the difference is almost 30mm, transfer that to circumference and you'll see a much greater difference and hence the space saver will be rotating at a different speed to the standard wheel. I'd not like my differential to take up that difference!!!

But if you folks have been advised by a dealer that 16" is the correct size, who am I to argue with facts!!

Some time ago I was informed that should you have puncture on the front, a wheel from the rear should be fitted to that and the space saver should be fitted to the rear, this allows for any differences in rolling Dia not to affect the diff and ensures that the wheels clear the brakes on the front, this may have been for earlier models but it does make some sense?

Edit, the above may have applied to my Honda, old age brings many problems, mainly memory.

Not this old **** again :(

SEAT supply the 16" space saver as a factory option. If these were not suitable for use on the car they wouldn't get type approval. End Of.

18" space saver is also a factory option and is mandatory for the SEAT sound system subwoofer.
