Load more torque does that mean new rubber as well, seeing as I am being told to get dedicated race rubber.

Think next will be R888R’s.
As long as Mike’s hold up long enough to get a comparison .

I’m hoping that the diff will help put the extra power down nicely.

Ok new Corbeau Proline Seat and OMP subframe fitted.
Comes with loads of swearing. Everything needs modification.
I have now realised the only way forward is to fit a 4 point harness as the female part of the seat belt is attached to the original seat, not the car

Next up is the rear BAF cross brace.

Very smart, if you wanted (as in save money) could you use normal seat belts.

Problem is the female section of the clasp is fitted to the seat itself where it hooks onto the runners, nor bolted in separately.
I could have hacked it off and done some mad modification but it looked like a real pain in the ...
Also wanted to keep front seat in one usable piece incase there’s an issue somewhere down the line and I need to pop it back in.
Now have a house full of seat parts to store, on top of everything else.

Quick note. Just found my brake pads have about 4 mm left on fronts and off to do a track day in a week. Not too clever. May have to m change them Monday.

DS2500’s all round. Not a cheap day. Should do my brake fluid too. Oh Lord.
£236 for pads front and rear
aaarrrrrrrrrr.....,..,,

Better that than a whole new front end when you don't stop before a tight corner...

Does this car still make you smile when you look at it every morning? I think that's the sign of true love lol

100% still believe it’s the prettiest car in our communal car park.
Drive my kid mad every day with “ ooh look at that bad ars car over there”
“Oh yeah , it’s mine. Awesome. “
Think I’m a bigger kid than he is.

I think that's what having a car is all about when you take it to that next level. It's nice to see people enjoy their cars instead of just leave it to rot until its next service...

Once it's all stripped out will you weigh the car so you can see what you've gained in power per tonne and all that jazz?

Think I’m not stripping out much more than the seat belt arrangements. Think max will be about 35-37kgs. Want to leave door cards and carpets.
With spare wheel out it’s another diet of 22kgs.
Tyre Brace etc maybe 1 more. Roughly say 57 kgs reduction. Add say 6 for braces so maybe 50 off in the end. Should produce close to 220 per ton like that with the current map
I am thinking of corner weighting when I’m done to get a proper balance going on.

Modding is one thing... Track days are a whole different ball game.

I couldn't do it but I respect those who do it with passion. I salute you.

So I was toying with the idea of a Maxtons Design Splitter which is very lovely gloss black, has a small step in it and follows the lines of the bumper.
Problem is I now catch my current version on every speed bump. Not hard. But it does touch.
Seemed slightly pointless changing.
Then I had a trip onto the grass, when out on track at the beginning of the week.
Minds made up. Stick with the cheaper one.

These cars look poo without one though.
Better to have it as a bumper saver in my mind.
