As thrilled as I am to have my car back somehow over the past 8 days something has happened to my speakers.

My 6x9's are all connected but no sound and my dash speakers are just fuzzy and the slightest bit of bass it just pppiiiiiizzzzzzzz at me...

What on earth has happened ???

In my center console there are 2 large blocks with 3 pins sticking out of them. Like over size fuses ? could these be something to do with it...

One thing after another !!:ban:

6x9's are all wired in...

will be giving them a call when they open to see whats gone on.

If the speaker was blown it wouldnt make any noise at all would it ?

I have a 'blown' front drivers side speaker, all I get is crackles following the bassline. But dodgy connections can do the same thing, it may just be a disturbed connector.

If the amp was blown then you wouldn't get any noise at all, and that can happen if the speakers have been earthed at any point.

pull your cd player out and check the plugs are in properly... Do you have an amp connected and your 6x9's running off that..?

if theyve had battery off they may have blown the fuse on the amp or the main fuse on the power lead when putting it back on.

They had the back seats out to get at the fuel pump so may have been something there.

As the problem ive had with the car points to some sort of ecu / voltage problem it may all be tied in together.

I know an auto electrician but once ive found a new TB and ECU midland VW have said they will look at it for me.
