turn off on the stereo, not by vagcom

1. Press PTY/PROG until you hear confirmation beep and the word PROGRAM is displayed

2. Select function to adjust using TRACK +> and TRACK -< until you see "SCV xxx" in the display where SCV is the setting for auto volume

3. Press PTY/PROG again

4. Adjust it using TRACK+> and TRACK -< to the setting you want:

SCV OFF
SCV LOW
SCV MID
SCV HIGH

5. Press PTY/PROG again to store it

6. Press PTY/PROG again to exit adjustment mode.

Does the Leon headunit have a prog button - in my old mk 3 Ibiza, holding the prog button in would bring up settings for the speed dependant volume and stuff like that.

Might not be the same in the leon but I though it was worth mentioning.

Edit: Lol - far too slow.

What are the other settings you can fiddle with on the PROGRAM menu?

I've got a whole list for the CC unit, is there something similar for the radio?

IGN - would control weather or not the radio goes off when you remove the key from the ignition,
ON VOL - is the default volume the unit will return to after being switched off and on
TA VOL - would be the volume of the traffic news
