Guess this pretty much signals the death of the Exeo ST, with the Toledo replacing the saloon. Looks good will be interesting to see if it sells in any kind of volume compared to the Golf and Octavia estates.

Yep, looks pretty much like expected. I think it's quite nice. Can't wait for the FR trim and the official price list w. 4wd, guessing sometome in September or Pctober after the Frankfurt autoshow. Planning on picking one up at the beginning of next year...

I think it looks great! Autoexpress were like 'oh no it has less space than the golf/octavia estate' but IMO that is a small price to pay for the sportier looks :D

Didn't realise the EXEO had already been wound down, I guess it was a bit of a flop?

Shame as it was a really nice car, but I think its dated underpinnings and lack of interior space let it down. The replacement Toledo isn't that impressive though as its merely a stretched Ibiza and is really quite basic. A SEAT version of the VW Passat CC or new Audi A3 saloon is what is needed here IMO!

Couldn't agree more as a private buyer I'd be tempted to look into the exeo in a few years time but the target market (company car buyers) went elsewhere as the rates were on the high side due to the high CO2 emissions. The ecomotive models came along too late.

The Toledo's not a replacemen for the exeo saloon surely? It's more down-market the prices reflect that, I'd expect to see an a3 saloon type if people really want one (Depends how many people bought the exeo saloon I guess?)

Is it possible that this ST version will replace the Altea? Seeing as the Altea is the only model still with the old design.

Possible but we might see an Altea replacement at some point. I'm surprised its still on sale as its really quite an old design now and actually came out before the Leon Mk2. Perhaps they are waiting until the next VW Golf Plus on which its based has been launched.
