Could be a wiring fault to the steering wheel control module, the module its self or the slip ring behind the steering wheel. Do you have a steering wheel airbag fault too?

There will be fault codes logged that will give you a good indication of where to start your investigations.

Hi no there are no warning lights on. And I can't seem to get a module with the same part Number ending in 549AQ

And I've tested the clock spring and it's reading fine with the home meter
