Switch off screen (in 10 seconds) - not saving!

The manual states:

Setup Menu and system settings

● Press the Infotainment MENU button ››› Fig. 1 1 and then select the Settings context.

 Switch off screen (in 10 seconds) : If this function is active and the Infotainment system is not in use, the screen will switch off after approximately 10 seconds.


I have just bought a 67 Plate 1.4 (125) Seat Leon Xcellence Technology and am getting to grips with the infotainment system.

I find when I set the screen to switch off after 10 seconds it's not saving this setting and every time I turn off the ignition it's resetting to being the default (which is screen permanently on)

Is there a fix or am I doing something wrong?

Came across this post and having the same issue which is very frustrating. Car just been in dealer for servicing and updates but still the same?

It doesn't save, it resets every journey. Completely ridiculous, but that's the way it is.

Thanks for confirming. Pointless giving the option if that's how it is designed to work!
