Switching off brake pad sensor

I had a hunt and couldn't find the answer to this. I've fitted some front brake pads (DS2500) that don't have a sensor so the brake pad wear indicator has popped up. I presume there is no way to switch this off other than plugging an old sensor in and just soldering the wires to complete the circuit? :)

Thanks!

Sure it can be turned off with vcds. Had it turned off on my mk6 Golf R when I fitted a big brake kit

For mk6 it was

Go to channel 17, Instruments
- 07 Coding
- Long Coding Helper
- Go to Byte 2 and you will see boxes to tick/untick warning lights you wish to activate/deactivate.
- Accept coding and DONE !!

On previous cars i've used a bit of wire or paperclip pushed into the ends of the connector, this creates a loop and keeps the warning light off :) then wrap tape over to protect the cable and tiewrap it out of the way

Is there any update on this? I need to turn off my pad sensor warning. Have OBD11.
